  1. 1. Why is traditional learning not effective anymore to teach our students nowadays?

Traditional learning is not effective nowadays because students do not have the same opportunity to participate and learn. Teacher used to explain their classes and ask for opinions or answer questions when they raise their hands, this means one at the time. This technique could be boring or don't let them being motivated in class because just the same students responds and create a competitive environment in the class and some students feel disappointed.

    2. What are the two greatest benefits of Kagan's Cooperative learning?

I could say that the two greatest benefits of this cooperative learning is that students have the same opportunity to participate in class showing social skills and at the same time improving in their academic aspect. And the other benefit qis that they feel confident and more active in class because the are involved in different activities with the idea of learning and developing the four skills.

  2. 1. Previously, Education focused on the teacher, something contrary to what happens today. The new teaching methodologies and approaches focus on the student, so that he/she can develop his/her own knowledge through his own experiences and discovers. The structural approach to cooperative learning is based on the creation , analysis, and systematic application of structures, or content – free ways of organizing social interaction in the classroom. In the traditional methodology, it was common for the teacher to use competitive structures called Whole class Question Answer. Here students vie for the teachers's attention , creating negative interdependence among them. Since the teacher usually gives the floor to the student who knew the answer, leaving the other students without the possibility of thinking or sharing their opinion on the question asked. Causing tension and rivalry among students, since they felt in some way that the teacher has favoritism for some students. Other problem with the traditional method is that the students do not have time to participate actively. The teacher talks all the time and when they were given the opportunity and class time was over.
Studies have been carried out on what are the best strategies for school success and to achieve inclusion. The variable that most influences these processes is the interaction between teacher and student and, in this sense, the strategy that works best is cooperative learning.
Some characteristics of the Kagan method are:
-They start from the idea that interaction in games helps cooperation or competitiveness among students.
-They involve "structuring" or establishing interaction roles among students so that everyone participates in the task to be carried out.
-Kagan believes that "structures" help students to: Think before speak,
-Focus on the topic to be discussed when presenting your ideas,
    -More equitable participation.
    - The structures promote natural relationships among students in part because they resemble board games with their varied rules.
-The structures are effective because they are easy to play and easy to learn.
-The strategies of the structures are explained as the rules of a game.

    2. With Kagan Approach, Teacher engages every student, especially the disengaged students, making their students increase their scores in the class. Other benefit is that now the students are not bored during the class because now they have an active participation, they enjoy school more and learn more.

  3. 1.Why is traditional learning not effective anymore to teach our students nowadays?
In the traditional schools, teachers have some not appropriate rules (NO TALKING for example), teachers want to talk only them all the time and don’t give the opportunity to students can express their ideas, and when the teacher invites volunteers, maybe they don’t pay attention with the students whose don’t raise their hand to participate.
Another point is that teachers have the students for long time into the class and maybe they are not creative people to make a dynamic class, and the students are there, sitting down for long long time just waiting the moment that the teacher checks their job. That´s boring for them because they don’t be motivated to continue and do the assignments well.

2.What are the two greatest benefits of Kagan's Cooperative learning?

    Engages all students!
When the students work in pairs or groups, all of them have to work, so, they don’t have to wait for their turn because they are working with the members of the group in their assignments, this means that students develop social and teamwork skills.

Another benefit is that with this program students develop communication and leadership skills because they work together, and they can learn each other. We know that not all the people have the same ability so, working in groups, each one can share their abilities and at the end create a good learning and take into account that everyone learn more!

  4. Traditional learning is no effective anymore , because this method did not give the opportunity of the students talk with each other. According the center of the traditional learning method was to engage students, in this method had problems such as; A subset students compete for the opportunity to shine. A competitive class was not to a good learning environment.

the greatest benefits of Kagan's Cooperative learning are students, improved social skills and cooperativeness, improved conflict resolution skills and increased empathy and concern for others.

  5. 1. Why is traditional learning not effective anymore to teach our students nowadays?
Because traditional learning does not engaged students to participate, so they are not learning the best. Students just accept whatever the teacher says and speak one at the time, that makes students to be competitive between them and obstruct their learning.

    2. What are the two greatest benefits of Kagan's Cooperative learning?
2.1 Students work in groups and this is crucial for all of them to participate.
2.2 Everyone has the opportunity yo talk and share their opinion about the topic because the class is open and not only the teacher speaks.

  7. Traditional learning does not work because the whole class is focused on the teacher only, he is the center of attention, only he can speak, only his opinion is valid, he is right about everything.

with Kagan's methodology, students are the center of attention, they can participate, they can give their opinions and share their ideas with their classmates.

Why is traditional learning not effective anymore to teach students nowadays?
1.- The old-fashioned way of teaching is not brain friendly; no all the students participate in class. The students sit behind each other, there is no interaction between them .The teacher ask questions and the students vie for the teacher attention and praise, creating a negative environment among them. This competitive method put the students against each other.
2.- Most of the time the teachers do the talking leaving little space to the students to talk and interact. When students get engage in an activity, the teachers attend them one at the time.

What are the two greatest benefits of Kagan´s cooperative learning?
1.- Engage all the students. Students sit in front of each other. Instead of calling one student at the time, the teacher calls all the students using the cooperative structure Time Pair Share. The teacher ask a question and each student shares with a partner for 30 seconds. Everybody participates in class.
2.- With this method the teacher engages all students in teams, so this way students develop social, teamwork, communication and leadership skills. In teams, the students do not fight against each other. Some of the structures used in this method is Numbered Heads Together to review, Quiz-Quiz Trade the student repeatedly ask questions to each other and in Rally coach students solve problems together.

Why is traditional learning not effective anymore to teach our students nowadays?
Nowadays traditional learning does not end, because the method that is used today, is that students have active participation, before the students could not express what they thought, they just had to listen. But today the student is free in terms of participation.

What are the two greatest benefits of Kagan's Cooperative learning?
One of the benefits of cooperative learning is that students work as a team so that they can develop their individual skills and competences.
The second cooperative learning benefit is active participation in students.

Why is traditional learning not effective anymore to teach our students nowadays?
The teaching that occurs in schools begins to present complications since the methods must be improved as time progresses.

Teachers who only speak and speak without students participating tend to present these complications, as they do not encourage learning, as well as slow down the educational process.

It is necessary to encourage the student to participate and cooperate in the classes for a broad development.

What are the two greatest benefits of Kagan's Cooperative learning?
Cooperative Learning is an extremely successful teaching strategy in which small teams of students work together towards a learning goal. They may also be working with partners or the whole class. Each member of a team is responsible not only for learning what is taught but also for helping teammates learn, thus creating an atmosphere of achievement. Students work through the assignment until all group members successfully understand and complete it.

Structures teach pupils social skills; interaction with other pupils, turn taking, listening to the views of others and sharing information.

    1. Why is traditional learning not effective anymore to teach our students nowadays?

Even though, traditional learning has been used for many decades it is of common know now that it is as effectively as it was thought to be, starting for the fact that when learning in the traditional the teacher is the one making all the talking making the students feel bored at just listening a very long speech of some unknown topic, it also creates a competitive environment in the classroom since a certain amount of question are directed to students to see if they understood the topic, in most of the cases the teacher’s selects a students to answer; when this students do not know or is taking too much time to answer another students will want to show his knowledge, this might be good for the teacher since it seems that the topic is being understood by some students but this will clearly make the first student not to want to be asked anymore.

    2. What are the two greatest benefits of Kagan's Cooperative learning?

The first benefit is that students learn in a cooperative environment in which they are invited to talk and participate in an equally way, encouraging them to take an active role on the learning, making transmit what they know or they understood about the topic to their classmates or if someone did not understand the topic some other student might take the initiative of coaching him making a really good mood for students to learn without being pressure at the moment of share their opinions.

The second would be that it engages students on participating in class, realizing exercises and activities during class to share information to their classmates, and improving the critical thinking on students by making them research on some topics they have a vague understanding of, making it so the students will learn without noticing it due to the diversity of concepts, points of view and prior knowledge their classmates have on certain topic.

  14. Traditional learning is not effective anymore because it doesn't serve the needs of the current generation. To succeed, students must learn not only the three Rs (Reading, Writing, Arithmetic). Students need to collaborate to solve problems and use creative approaches and analyses. They also need to continually develop new skills by engaging in self-directed learning instead being compiting for an opportunity to shine.

What are the two greatest benefits of Kagan's Cooperative learning?
    1. Cooperative learning is designed to engage learners actively in the learning process. Through inquiry and interaction with peers in small groups, learners work together towards a common goal.
    2. Develop social skills, work together as a team, help others improve their skills, and take responsibility for their own learning.

  15. Traditional Teaching is not effective anymore because it doesnt engage all our students in the learning process. Only the few students understand and only those students want to participate.
Traditional teaching makes competitive students where they are striving to catch the attention of the teacher. Teacher is the center of the teachong while students are only listening and and surely they are listenig everything around but not the teacher...jaja
